August & September

Benson Mule Days

For over 70 years, crowds have flocked to the town of Benson to celebrate the mule with parades, competitions, a carnival, and so much more.

Four Oaks Acorn Festival

Head to the cozy town of Four Oaks for children’s activities, live music, artisan vendors, an antique car and tractor show, and much more!

Selma Railroad Days

Selma celebrates its heritage as a railroad town with this popular event, which has everything from train displays to a one-of-a-kind mascot parade. Be sure to check out the food trucks, too!

Clayton Harvest Festival

The Clayton Harvest and Music Festival draws tens of thousands of visitors to Main Street every year for its food competitions, amazing live music, carnival, car show, and so much more.

November & December

Meadow Lights

Usher in the holiday season at Meadow Lights, the largest and oldest light show in Eastern North Carolina. Come drive through this impressive display, and don't forget to try their old-fashioned candy after snapping a picture with Santa!

Holiday Village and Tree Lighting

Head to Downtown Clayton for an evening of holiday cheer and a chance to see Santa himself. Main Street shuts down for two and a half hours at this unique event—just be sure to bring a perishable food donation for admission.
